We last visited Andy Riley when we looked at his Bunny Suicides.
I mentioned at that time we would revisit him and look at the above mentioned books. So, here they are.
The intro for the second book, below,
mentions a comic called ‘roasted.’ That strip is no longer being published by the “Observer,” but here is the link for a peek at three of the cartoons.
So, on to the two books. Let us start with Parenting. After all, no parents, no kids to instruct and direct in their journey through life.
And speaking of Daddy,
We also see that mommy is drinking her clever drink…
Some parents will direct their children’s religious experience.
Or not.
Bedtime stories,
And their general education.
Laws are an important part of parental education.
Geography,
Nature studies,
Food studies,
Considering that the above was in a book published in 2006, I guess he was just ahead of the current Zombie curve. I for one am sick and tired of the undead. I went to buy some shotgun shells a few weeks ago, and all the store had were small green boxes called “Zombie Loads” for use in killing an already undead person. The instructions told the user to aim for the head. Well, the sooner the better for the end of this fad.
Anyway, back to the blog post already in progress.
This is especially helpful if there are younger, red haired siblings.
Kids love it when parents share history with them. Especially, when it relates to when the parents were the same age as their children are now.
Keep their interest with a few media references.
World affairs, China sub-section.
Across the pond.
Christmas, and all that
And of course, there is just so much more important stuff that every kid should know. Like…
This one is especially useful for impressing girls.
Sometimes, that useful tip will lead to the following…
Fine dining experiences,
I guess we could also file the above under ‘safety tips.’
Nature studies are also important.
Those arcane rules sometimes come in real handy.
Looking at the next one, I believe that it is safe to say that Andy Riley has a real sadistic streak.
Did you find them all?
Until next time.
